The Maharashtra forest department will be celebrating Wildlife Week-2019 from October 1 to 7, 2019. Various programs are being held this week. The inaugural function will be held at Harisingh Van Sabhagriha on Monday. Similarly, essay and photography contests will also be held.
Various activities like tree plantation, photography, and videography, public awareness programs will be organised in villages coming under Joint Forest Management.
Similarly, elocution and debate contests will also be held. On October 4, bird watching activity will be held at Ambazari lake from 7 am to 10 am. On October 5, field visits of schoolchildren to national parks/sanctuary and surrounding villages will be organised. A media visit to Bor Tiger Reserve will also be held.
On October 6, a cycle rally from Van Bhavan to Gorewada Biodiversity Park and later walk on a nature trail will be held.
