The Nagpur-based Ajit bakery owner recently lost Rs.41.50 lakh after a fraudster had cheated the businessperson. The accused person deceived the victim and transferred the money into five different accounts in a swindling manner. As per the information, the forgery happened between September 28-30.
After the incident, Avanti Deshmukh one of the owners of the bakery was in a shock and lodged a complaint and Dhantoli police has registered a fraud case in the matter.
As per the source, Avanti Deshmukh had linked her mobile number with her bank account. The mobile number was registered in Abhiram’s name, her husband. The fraudster deceitfully used her husband’s name. He approached the BSNL office in Pune and pretended as Abhiram and trapped the officials as he lost his mobile phone and asked for the new SIM card for the same number. And he misused the new SIM and transferred the money.
