Ahead of Assembly Polls, in a view to maintain the law and order of the city there will be four dry days in Nagpur. The District Collector of Nagpur Ravindra Thakre, in a press release issued on Thursday, informed that ‘dry days’  as far as the sale of liquor is concerned are declared on the following dates: October 19 to October 21, and October 24. As per the directive, all the joints/shops selling liquor will remain closed on these four dates.
It further stated that all the license-holders in Nagpur district should follow the said directive of ‘dry day’ on the said dates, or their license will be permanently revoked. As per excise rules, the 48 hours before the end of polling in each state are declared “dryâ€.
