Ahead of Assembly Polls, in a view to maintain the law and order of the city there will be four dry days in Nagpur. The District Collector of Nagpur Ravindra Thakre, in a press release issued on Thursday, informed that â€˜dry daysâ€™ Â as far as the sale of liquor is concerned are declared on the following dates: October 19 to October 21, and October 24. As per the directive, all the joints/shops selling liquor will remain closed on these four dates.
It further stated that all the license-holders in Nagpur district should follow the said directive of â€˜dry dayâ€™ on the said dates, or their license will be permanently revoked. As per excise rules, the 48 hours before the end of polling in each state are declared â€œdryâ€.
