As we know Diwali is the festival of lights and also the time for bursting firecrackers. After polls, the demand for the firecrackers has increased and the major firecracker shops in city witnessed a heavy rush in on Friday. After the SC order, this Diwali will see green crackers taking center-stage with the country’s fireworks hub is making the eco-friendly crackers which have reduced emission of harmful chemicals and low sound. As per information, the crowd will continue in next two days. And these green crackers are more expensive compared to traditional normal crackers. As per information, this year the crackers have costlier by around 10-15% when compared to traditional crackers. The main features of these crackers are they make flash of light without making loud noise. The major attractions in fancy crackers include magic pop, dragon fight, mayajal, jumper, butterfly, pop-corn, pogo, air traffic, rockets etc.
It has been reported that the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) has created these green crackers to reduce the pollution levels during Diwali time. The green crackers like tree, pencil, sparklers have expected to decrese the noise pollution by at least 40%. Due to this factor, the price range for these crackers is quite high. The range starts from Rs.100-Rs 7000. Another remarkable feature of these crackers are it promise a wide range of crackers for kids which emit less smoke. The Gold coin and Ashrafi pot are most popular in this category which emits more light. The most popular tikli has got a new version with twice the firepower and noise when burst in spring guns. These are available in the market with a price range starts from Rs 50 –Rs 500. And city hopes to temper the environmental damage in Diwali by introducing these green crackers.
