Rahul Club defeated four-time consecutive champions Young Muslim Football Club (5-4) in sudden death to win JSW Elite Division Football Tournament organised by Nagpur District Football Association (NDFA) at SECR’s Motibagh ground, on Thursday.
Even after making lot of efforts both the teams failed to break he deadlock during regulation timeIn tie-breaker too the score was levelled as both the teams scored three goals each. Stanley Peter, Sagar Chhintala and Anuj Gorey found the net for Rahul. For YMFC, Rauf Khan, Ritik shah and Yash Shukla converted the opportunities.
In sudden death. Vasu Kanojia and Rahul Neware struck for Rahul whereas For YMFC only Aman Thaware succeeded in scoring the goal.There was jubilation in Rahul camp when Burrewar saved an attempt of Sujat.
Commissioner of police Dr.Bhushan Kumar Upadhaya  was the chief guest of prize distribution function. Lobo and S Singh of JSW, NDFA president Haresh Vora, secretary Iqbal Kashmiri, Eugene Norbart, Atmaram Pandey, Abid Khan , Khalid, Latif Bhai, .Satyanaryan  Jerpot, Karamchand Chourasiya and others were also present on the occasion. The winning team walked away with Rs 12,500o whereas the runners up got Rs 75,000 and trophy.
