Under Right to Education Act (RTE) for economically backward student government has recently approved to reimburse the fees for the academic year 2018-19 and has sanctioned Rs 9.11 corer for the Nagpur District.
RTE students of economically backward classes gets 25% of the seats in any private and unaided schools. Around 650 schools participated in the RTE admission process in the district in academic session 2018-19.
The new grant issued by the government will soon be deposited in the bank accounts of the schools. Earlier thousands of students were given admission under RTE however many schools were furious for not getting the reimbursed fees of students which were admitted under RTE.
The department of primary education will also ensure that the students which are admitted under RTE are studding in the respective schools and only then the amount will be approved to the respective schools.
Many schools are yet to receive 50% of the amount for the year 2017-18 by the government. To which schools are demanding to issue the reimbursement fees as soon as possible.
