One of the most awaited cultural fest of Nagpur City, “Khasdar Mahotsavâ€, to commence from today. Spiritual Guru, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the promoter of the Art of Living and Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari, will also grace the occasion. The festival will be inaugurated at 5.30 pm in the courtyard of Ishwar Deshmukh Physical Education College at Krida Chowk, Hanuman Nagar.
This is the third year of the festival and for the first time this festival will last for 17 days. Running up to December 15, the festival will witness a shower of glittering colours. Immediately after the inaugural event on Friday, the concert Parliament’ will be held.
About 800 artists will participate in the event. This year, a grand platform has been set up for this cultural festival. Car parking space has been provided at the OCW office ground, Hanuman Nagar, Mohata and Binzani College grounds, while two-wheeler parking is arranged at the grounds of Ayurvedic College, Pandharipande College, Teli Samaj Bhavan and Prerna Convent grounds.
