Recently 11th Agrovision was organized from 22-25th November, 2019 at Reshimbagh Ground, Nagpur. The exhibition was organized under the esteemed patronship of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road, Transport and MSME, Govt. of India. The objective of organizing Agrovision is to create a prosperous agrarian society where farmers are well informed about the latest technologies and agriculture becomes a remunerative and attractive profession.
This year Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India played a vital role in Agro vision exhibition for the development of MSMEs engaged in agro based products and agricultural implements. The new initiatives of Agrovision was MSME pavilion in which around 100 stalls of MSMEs were installed. The MSME pavilion was inaugurated at the hands of Nitin Gadkari. The units were agro-based and agriculture implements manufacturing units from all over India. A separate theme pavilion for MSME Ministry was also there where MSMEs showcased their products related to agriculture and food processing. The MSME units who participated in the MSME pavilion were given subsidy by Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India.
In his address, Gadkari appealed to MSME officers that they should guide the farmers about the various schemes of MSME like how to produce high value crops, how to reduce production cost, and guidance on packaging of their products. With the help of MSME schemes, the farmers should try to increase their productivity with the help of advanced technology, he said. He further stressed that knowledge, science, and technology should reach farmers. For this purpose, there will be a training centre for farmers where they will be provided training throughout the year, where workshops/seminars will be organized for the farmers.
Looking at the importance of mechanization in agriculture MSME-DI Nagpur played a prominent role in Agro vision this year. The officers of MSME-DI Nagpur provided information about the various schemes of Ministry of MSME applicable to agriculture sector. Similarly the innovation carried out by the MSMEs in agriculture and food processing sector was showcased in theme pavilion.   The farmers were guided about the various schemes of Ministry where subsidies are given. P.M.Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI Nagpur under whose guidance the theme pavilion was set up, appealed to all the visitors to taken benefit of the schemes of MSME and also assured them all possible help. He appealed to them to do the farming with the help of modern technology which will help them in increasing productivity and also quality products will be produced, which will help them in exporting their products.
The MSME theme pavilion received overwhelming response from the visitors mainly farmers during the four day of exhibition. The innovations carried out by various Technology Centres of the Ministry were also demonstrated in separate stalls.
