The seamless traffic movement is the lifeline of any city. Traffic personnel delivers their duties irrespective of extreme weather conditions, VIP movements, road accidents, and congestions.
The exhausting jobs demand physical fitness and mental peace too. Identifying the possible bones and joints issue, Dr. Akash Saoji, an Orthopedic surgeon, conducted a free Guidance and Checkup camp city for traffic police personnel at Alankar Hall, Police Headquarters, Katol Road, Nagpur.Â
DCP, Traffic, Shri Chinmay Pandit and Shri Bhandarkar were present at the occasion. In an interactive guidance session by Dr. Saoji, personnel shared various ailments like muscle stiffness, joint pain, lumbar and cervical pain, knee discomfort, shoulder pains, etc. Inclusion of specific exercise in routine can keep ortho problems in control was stressed by Dr. Saoji.
He guided and addressed all issues one-by-one by suggesting ways to keep pains away with simple one-minute exercises that could be done at the workplace as well. Shoulder and neck stretching for effective relief, back extension exercise, toes and feet exercise for ankle and feet pain were discussed with practical. Non-surgical techniques for chronic knee pain were also focused on the session.Â
DCP Pandit encouraged the attendees to get the maximum benefit of camp and appealed to understand the ways of staying fit for delivering the best services. He thanked and admired Dr. Saoji for this initiative. The camp was attended by over 150 police personnel.
