Nagpur Municipal Corporation in association with Green Vigil Foundation conducted Citizen Outreach campaign to raise awareness among citizens on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Ambazari Garden & Futala lake premises on Sunday.
Members of Green Vigil Foundation informed citizens the Concept of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Swachh Survekshan 2020, end single use plastic, role of citizens in achieving the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan goals and contributing for a cleaner city and India.
The program was commenced under the guidance of Sandip Joshi, Hon. Mayor of Nagpur and Abhijit Bangar, Commissioner, NMC.
Green Vigil Team & NMC Staff appealed citizens to actively participate in India’s biggest Cleanliness movement by downloading Swachhata – MoHUA App and lodging cleanliness related complaints for a cleaner city, segregating dry and wet waste, giving up single use plastic etc. The campaign received huge response from citizens especially the youth who actively downloaded app and assured for a cleaner city.
Team members of Green Vigil – Kaustav Chatterjee , Surbhi Jaiswal, Mehul Kosurkar, Sheetal Choudhary, Bishnudeo Yadav, Kartiki Kawale, Digambar Nagpure, Namrata Jhaveri, Hemant Amesar, Ashwini Dable, Advik Dasgupta, etc. participated in the program.
