Recently in a shocking incident two unidentified men had fired at Mayor Sandip Joshi’s car even after having a tight security in the city. And more alarming thing is that even after five days of this incident police didn’t get any clue in this matter. On December 17, after attending a marriage function, Mayor along with his wife, daughter and other relatives was returning to home. While returning to home, some unknown persons fired at his car.
After the incident, crime branch is investigating the matter. Police have already recorded the statements of the persons present on the crime spot. And they have also been searching for the CCTV footage and other electronics surveillance.However; the police didn’t receive any lead in this case.
Earlier Joshi has got many threat calls. A case is registered with Sadar police station. And police is searching in dark as they have not found any rivalry of Joshi with anyone. Also they have been unsuccessful in identifying the two bike riders who opened fire at the car of Mayor. As the spot where incident occurred do not have CCTVs, police are searching for any clues from the CCTV footage installed at Dabha as on the day some persons have asked about Joshi at the Dabha, later it was confirmed that both of them were Joshi’s friends. And the CCTV footage installed on toll booths on Wardha road did not clearly capture the entire bike or its registration number.
