It is really proved to be fruitful for the Central Railway’s (CR) Nagpur Division as it yet again made its mark on earnings through transportation of goods by loading 1,991 wagons in a day.
As per information, record revenue of Rs 9.30 crore was realised on January 21 by transportation of 39 rakes through combined energy of Operating and Commercial Departments.
Field teams working under supervision of Divisional Operations Manager (DoM) Sumit Badrke and Assistant Commercial Manager (Goods) SG Rao achieved the distinction during the 2019-20 financial year.
The main stay of loading over Nagpur Division is coal and about 28 rakes were loaded on the single day.
Maximum eight rakes were loaded at Ghughus followed by seven at Umrer, three at Majri and two at Ballarshah.
Coal contributes to over 90 per cent of goods revenue at Nagpur Division and Umrer has emerged as one of the major loading centres boosting the revenue.
