Republic day celebration at Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar
The 71st Republic Day was celebrated with pride and patriotism at Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar on January 26. The entire school courtyard was resplendent in the shades of tricolour.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolour, the pride of our country by Deepa Chakraborty, the Vice Principal of the school, followed by the National Anthem.
It was followed by a speech on India’s position globally in today’s time as compared to what it was a few years back. A small cultural programme followed thereafter, wherein the students performed a skit on Fundamental Duties.
Republic Day programme was ended by an enlightening speech by Jayati Chakraborty, the Vice Principal of the school. She addressed the audience, stressing on the significance of the day and why we should celebrate it, at the same time making the students aware of the fundamental duties they need to follow.
VIT Celebrate Republic Day 2020 with full enthusiasmVidarbha Institute of Technology celebrated the Republic Day with zeal. The management staff, faculty members and students saluted the nation and freedom fighters on the occasion.
The function started with Flag Hosting which was done at the hands of Dr Sanjay Uttarwar Principal VIT followed by the national anthem. After Flag Hosting, Dr Uttarwar addressed the students. He inspired them to develop devotion to the nation. He guided further to inculcate compassion towards others and love and bring glory to the country.
On the occasion, patriotic speeches were delivered & songs were sung by the student of VIT. The NSS volunteers participate in the parade and recreate a micro version of the Republic Day parade at Red Fort.
Jitesh N Maheshwari (Chairman, VIT), said, “Today’s students realize their strengths and abilities and step out in order to contribute to the nation and the world consequently.†Dr Pooja Maheshwari (Secretary, VIT) along with Dr G.S. Natrajan (Director, VIT) and Dr Sanjay Uttarwar had appreciated the efforts taken by the NSS unit of the college.

Indrayani Handlooms Celebrated Republic Day at office premises
Maharashtra State Handloom Corporation, Umred Road, Nagpur celebrated the 71st Republic day on Sunday at the Handloom’s headquarter.
The flag hoisting ceremony was done by the hands of Dr Madhavi Khode Chaware (IAS) Managing Director of the Handloom Corporation and Commissioner of Textile Industries, Government of Maharashtra.
On this occasion, G. D. Nimje, Managing Director of Handloom Corporation, Narendra Divte, former president of Mahatex Mumbai and officials of the handloom corporation and the Silk Office were present.
Mahila Samaj Sewa Samiti celebrated R-Day at Balak Mandir School, Ajni
Central Railway, Mahila Samaj Sewa Samiti, Nagpur Mandal celebrated the 71st Republic day on January 26 at Ajni. The tricolour was hoisted by Divisional Railway Manager Somesh Kumar.
Following the flag hoisting, chef guest Somesh Kumar and Monika Shriwastav, chairperson of the Mahila Samaj Seva Samiti inaugurated the playground and new kitchen room for the children of the pre-primary school in Ajni. At the end of the programme they distributed sweets and snack to the children.
On the occasion of Republic Day the Mahila Samaj Seva Samiti, also distributed fruits and napkins, three-seater chairs and kitchen items such as room heaters, induction cookers etc, to the patients in Central Railway Hospital, Nagpur.
Republic day and India day celebrated in NADTThe National Academy of Direct Taxes celebrated the 71st Anniversary of Republic Day in its Campus. The ceremony was presided by Alka Tyagi, Pr. DG (Trg.), NADT. In this ceremony, Nausheen J. Ansari, Additional Director General (Trg.)-1, B.V. Rao, Additional Director General (Trg.)-2, Faculty Members, Officer Trainees of 73rd Batch of Indian Revenue Service including two Officers from Royal Bhutan Service and the Staff Members were also present.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Alka Tyagi, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. In her inaugural address, Tyagi called upon the Officer Trainees to discharge their duties as enshrined in the Indian Constitution particularly in their capacity as public servants to ensure that the deprived sections of society receive their foremost attention, upholding the values and freedom for which our forefathers had sacrificed their lives.
This was followed by the celebration of INDIA DAYÂ Â by the Officer Trainees of 73rd Batch of IRS, in which they depicted the culture and tradition of 13 states of India through tableaus and performances. The Kalbeliya folk song and dance of Rajasthan was also performed which is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of India.
