A move to prevent the pollution, the Public Works Department (PWD) has decided to increase the use of electronic cars (e-cars).For this purpose, the department has been given 14 e-cars.
As per information, out of the 14 e-cars, the Nagpur regional department division number 1 and integrated (medical) department will be receiving one e-car each.
This is really a move to prevent the increasing global warming and increasing pollution. The PWD is using environment friendly material for the construction of the roads. And thrust has given on conservation of energy during road and building construction works. Recently the PWD minister Ashok Chavan has given the keys of these e-cars to chief engineer Ulhas Debadwar at Ravi Bhavan. VD Sardeshmukh,Hemant Patil,Executive engineer Janardan Bhanuse,Manish Patil were prominently present on this occasion.
