Wherein students are expected to be keen on learning new things and develop a thought process said renowned Architect and Professor Vijay Sohoni at the daylong convention organized by Maharashtra Association of Schools of Architecture at South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Civil Lines Nagpur.Â
Prof. Vijay Sohoni was conferred with very prestigious Life Time Achievement MASA Gold Medal Award at the hands of Dr. Ujwala Chakradeo, President MASA and principal Smt Manramabai Mundle College of Aarchitecture. Prof. Sohoni told various stories of his own experience in these field and enlightened students on the challenges that may come up with the growing demands from architects.
Dr. Chakradeo appealed architecture students to focus on most practical part of design and architecture. She said that work should be sustainable and creative. It should suffice the day to day needs. She thanked all participants for their active participation and inputs. Â
Poorva Keskar, Chakor Mehta, Akhtar Chavhan and President of COA Habbeb Khan were felicitated.
Habeeb Khan talked about NEP and its implications on architecture education. Prof Uday gadkari, Prof S A Deshpande, Prof. Shriram Marathe were prominently present. Milind gujarkar was convener of the event.
Students of over 11 colleges form Nagpur region participated in the architecture project exhibition that was displayed at the venue. Best projects were awarded.
MASA convention is organized annually to celebrate and felicitate the contributions in the field of architecture. The Program was compared by Renuka Chutke, while vote of thanks were conveyed by Dr. Neeta Lambe.
