Shriraj Patil won the gold medal in the fourth National Waveboard Championship, organized by the Skatathlon and Waveboard Maharashtra Association, at the Youth Hostel in Goa recently.
Competing at the national-level competition for the first time, Shriraj stamped his authority in style to emerge champion.
A student of RS Mundle English Medium School, Shriraj had earlier won the state-level tournament at Pune to qualify for the nationals. Shriraj, who trains under Shailesh Tarare at the Pawanbhoomi Krida Mandal ground, attributed his success to his parents Sudhir Patil and Supriya Patil. RS Mundle School principal and staff congratulated Shriraj for his success.
