With a firm belief to fight against the deadly Coronavirus together Government; citizens have all joined hands in helping each other out. As the whole country is in lockdown for next 19 days with only essential needy shops opened throughout the country government has decided to temporarily suspend the collection of toll tax.
Union Minister of roads and transport Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday in a series of tweets informed that “in the view of COVID-19 it has been ordered to temporarily suspend the collection of toll at all toll plaza across India to reduce inconvenience to the supply of emergency services but also save critical timeâ€.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to temporarily suspend the collection of toll at all toll plazas across India to make the work of emergency services easy. The move came after the PM ordered complete lockdown for 21 days on Tuesday as the number of cases in India was on rise and in order to break the chain of COVID-19.
With complete lockdown and only minimal vehicular movement in country government has decided the move as only essential needs vehicles are moving in and out.
