At present the citizens of Nagpur are in immense trouble due the outbreak of novel coronavirus followed by lockdown. Amidst all these woes, there is certainly some relief for the residents as this year the city will not have to face water scarcity. As per information, the Totladoh and Navegaon Khairi dams which supply water to city have adequate water. On the other hand there is very demand of water.
Every year during summer there is sudden increase in water demand. On the contrary, this year the situation is very much improved. The Pench project has 71.56% water stock while Totladoh has 84.41% water and Navegaon Khairi has 70.56 % water. The lockdown has made adverse impact on every sector of life.
However, due to the lockdown the hotels, restaurants, servicing centres, marriage halls and lawns are closed. Thus the water demand is decreased.
