Nagpur Municipal Corporation has issued an order to prevent the spread of COVID-l9 Virus in the city. The State Government is also satisfied that the entire state is threatened with the spread of the Virus.
Considering the rapid spread of the novel World Health Organisation has already declared it a Pandemic. It is therefore expedient to take certain emergency measures to prevent and contain the spread of the virus.
According to the order issued by NMC, the Government of Maharashtra, in the exercise of the power conferred under section 2, 3, & 4 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, rg97 has framed Regulations for the prevention of containment of COVID-19 under No. Corona 2020/CR/5g/Aarogya_5 dated 14th March 2020.
The order further states that the spread of Corona Virus in the City of Nagpur requires additional COVID-1 9 facilities particularly for the treatment of COVID-I9 patients in Nagpur city and Private/charitable hospitals need to be ready for future. Therefore, NMC Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe Has directed the private hospital to keep the hospital in the state of readiness especially ICU, HDU, Oxygen, ventilators, etc, for the management of COVID-19 patients.
