With just seven days left for the lockdown 2.0 to end Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray addressed the state through a video conference on Sunday afternoon April 26.
CM wished everyone on the eve of Ramzan, Akshaya Tritiya and thanked the citizen as they kept religion at bay and helped each other following the rules and regulations and helped those in need during difficult time.
He said that “It is not a time to go out and worship and if you ask where is god I would say that he is everywhere it is in healthcare workers, policemen, essential needs suppliersâ€.
CM thanked Nitin Gadkari for his support with the state government and health officials in controlling the disease.
Assuring to safety of the stranded labours that are stuck in Maharashtra CM said that “I assure you that as the situation will be stable we will provide transportation facility to safely escort you back to your native place but until then no mode on transportation will be resumed as it will only increase problems of the countryâ€.
Discarding the rumours he said that “it is not a time that the officials are providing false status and to hiding any data of the affected persons from the world. We want that we can constrain the virus earlyâ€.
CM informed that around 80% of the patients are asymptomatic while 20 % of those are having mild, serious, critical symptoms of the virus.
Insisting on taking care of oneself during the lockdown CM added that “People suffering from other diseases have to take more precaution and if any symptoms appear then go to fever clinicâ€. “One should not think negatively on being infected with Coronavirus there are many who have been treated and defeated the virus it is just that we have to report to the doctors at an early stage†he added. “This is a time of patience’s and we have to win it by social distancing†he added.
CM informed that the government has prepared a setup for the people who are in quarantine or have similar cases of the virus just in case the number rises in the coming days.
“In the coming days government is considering to give some relaxation in lockdown in rural districts which are in the category on non-containment zoneâ€.
