Central Regional Centre, Anthropological Survey of India will be celebrating International Museum Day on May 18. However, as the country is observing COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown has been observed in the city the museums will be closed.
To mark the International Museum Day, two main on-line programmes will be organised on May 18. These programmes include a webinar on ‘Anthropology and Pandemic: A museum perspective’ at 10.30 am onwards and a drawing, speech and elocution competition and project competition on-line.
The theme of the contest is ‘when the world is locked at home’. Citizens of any age group can participate in these events.†Museum Keeper Sanjay Shukla stated, “Prof Vinay Kumar Srivastava is the keynote speaker for the webinar, while Dr Ratna Dhar Head of the Office, from Anthropological Survey of India, will deliver a welcome speech.
The other speakers include Sanjay Shukla, Sudarshan Vaidya, Banita Behera, Sarabjeet Singh and Siddharth Shit.
