Central Regional Centre, Anthropological Survey of India will be celebrating International Museum Day on May 18. However, as the country is observing COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown has been observed in the city the museums will be closed.
To mark the International Museum Day, two main on-line programmes will be organised on May 18. These programmes include a webinar on â€˜Anthropology and Pandemic: A museum perspectiveâ€™ at 10.30 am onwards and a drawing, speech and elocution competition and project competition on-line.
The theme of the contest is â€˜when the world is locked at homeâ€™. Citizens of any age group can participate in these events.â€ Museum Keeper Sanjay Shukla stated, â€œProf Vinay Kumar Srivastava is the keynote speaker for the webinar, while Dr Ratna Dhar Head of the Office, from Anthropological Survey of India, will deliver a welcome speech.
The other speakers include Sanjay Shukla, Sudarshan Vaidya, Banita Behera, Sarabjeet Singh and Siddharth Shit.
