The teachers associations recently alleged that the teachers who have been displaced due to online transfers and got placement in the random rounds should be given placement in vacant position maintaining gender equality as per government directives and are filling up the positions wrongly.But the education department is not following directives and are filling up the positions wrongly.The teachers association has demanded that teachers in displaced and random rounds should be placed together and women should be given priority.
The Maharashtra State Primary Education Committee wrote a letter to chief executive officer and education officer(primary).The committee has cited a circular issued by the village development department on September 4.2019.As per the circular,before the appointment of new teachers or adjustment of other teachers,the displaced or teachers getting placed in random rounds should be given counselling and placement.
An independent list of women teachers should be made and appointments should be given on seniority basis.The teachers association demanded.
