A big leakage has been detected in the 1300mm and 900m main feeder line of Kanhan water purification centre. To repair the leakage, 24-hour shut down has been taken from 11 am, July 14 to 11 am, July 15. During the period, there will be no water supply in five zones.
The area that will be affected due to the shutdown are, Satranjipura, Lakadganj, Asi Nagar, Mangalwari zones and most of the parts of Nehru Nagar.
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) water supply department and water supply company Orange City Water (OCW) said that some areas may witness low pressure. And also water supply through tankers will not be done during the period.
Eight-hour shut down has also been taken on July 13 to change the valve of 500 mm line. During the shut down Bollywood Centre Point leakage on 900 mm line, feeder valve leakage of Subhan Nagar branch and six valves of Pardi water tank will also be repaired. These all are the parts of Kanhan 1300mm line.
Similarly leakage of Uppalwadi feeder line will be repaired from the direction of NHAI on 900mm Kanhan feeder line.
