Senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Praful Patel on Sunday said that there is no danger to Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) Government in Maharashtra.
About discontent expressed by Congress over side-lining of its ministers in the decision-making process in MVA Government, Patel said that everything was well within NCP-Shiv Sena Congress coalition in the State under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray. Six senior ministers are co-ordinating to rule out any difference of opinion and many a time the issues are blown out of proportion, he added. To a question on alleged rift between Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister and senior NCP leader, and Sharad Pawar, NCP Supremo, Patel replied that it was a ‘baseless rumour’. “All is well between both the leaders. Both have a very cordial relationship and the party is growing stronger by the day under their leadership. NCP is not a family party and we are equal stakeholders,†he asserted. Answering a question on Parth Pawar, he said it is not a major issue.Sharad pawar is our respected leader, and we will do whatever he said. There is no issue of Sharad Pawar versus Ajit Pawar.
Replying the query about whether the NCP and Congress will jointly contest municipal election, he said Congress should give seats to NCP in Viadarbha. Patel also justified his criticism for the low pace of development at MIHAN during the last five years.
