Excessive travel expenditure, citizens demand civic body to resume bus services in city

After the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown, the common public is reeling under full of difficulties especially in transportation. As we know the bus services have been restored in Mumbai and Pune in July, however, the bus services in Nagpur not commenced yet. As per information, about 2 lakh passengers travel by bus every day.NMC has not taken the decision regarding this matter.

Businesses have started and large number of people has to go to MIDC, Butibori, and MIHAN for the jobs. There is lot of expenditure for travelling in auto and own vehicle. But the NMC administration is not taking the matter seriously. The point to be noted here that the auto drivers are also extracting high amount of money. The poor patients are also suffering due to the shutdown of public transport. To travel to Medical College from Jhansi Rani square a passenger had to spend Rs.10 to Rs.15 on normal days. But now it is 100 to 200.Thousands of people are facing this problem daily.
