A good news for passengers as a direct flight from Nagpur to Indore will start operating from Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport from August 25.Indigo Airline will start operation on the route through an ATR of 72 –seater capacity. On August 25, the first flight 6E 7289 will take off from Indore at 11.35 am and will land in Nagpur at 12.40 pm.Flight 6E 7298 will take off from Nagpur at 1.05 pm and land in Indore at 2.10 pm. The flight will operate daily.
It should be noted that even before the lockdown Nagpur-Indore-Nagpur flight was operational but it was an 180 seater.The flight arrived from Bangalore to Nagpur and took off to Indore. And operated from Indore-Mumbai-Delhi and from Delhi to Ranchi. Due to the availability of less passengers for Indore, airlines are currently running 72 seater ATR aircraft. Flights are available from Nagpur to cities in north, south and west direction. Flight to Kolkata, which was earlier operational since Kolkata being an important city in the city has not started yet. The flights will be operational on this route only after the approval of West Bengal government.
