It has been seven months since lockdown was announced to curb the spreading of the deadly coronavirus. Slowly and steadily markets started opening up, commercial establishments, restaurants, hotels, malls, theatres in short all public places opened up under ‘Mission Begin Again’ except places of worship.
With Navratri, Durga Puja festivals underway, and holding immense religious significance, Vishva Hindu Parishad at Durga Mandir of Pratap Nagar and at various other parts of Nagpur had a peaceful protest demanding the opening of places of worship in the city.
They said “if slowly the Government is opening every public place why not the places of worship, the rules, guidelines that they have given for those places we will be more than happy to follow the same guidelines in the places of worship as well. Its high time the Government thinks and takes into consideration the importance worshipping hold for thousands of people in city and opens the respected placesâ€.
