The citizens and civic authorities of Nagpur have all good reasons to celebrate as the city reports less than 300 cases for the first time after it witnessed a hike in COVID-19 cases. October months proved to be lucky for the second capital of the state as it reported a decline in new COVID cases each day from the starting of the month.
On Sunday 222 persons were detected positive for coronavirus. With these new cases, the number of positive patients to date has reached 93,646. The district registered 18 deaths on Sunday taking the cumulative deaths to 3064.
On Sunday as many as 412 became corona-free. With these, the cumulative recovery reached 85,197 (including 45820 home isolation recoveries). This has brought down the number of active cases further to 5203. After today’s fresh update the recovery rate in Nagpur district now stands at 90.98%.
Today’s 222 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.AIIMS (25), GMC (25), IGGMC (54), MAFSU (14), NEERI (15), RTMNU (32), Private Lab (42) and Antigen (15).
