The coronavirus pandemic has left the whole education system in a mess. In a recent development, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has stated that it would issue notification for the admissions after declaration of MHT CET results.
The National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) for the admissions to Architecture course was conducted long ago and Council of Architecture (COA) declared its result just few days after the exam. However, despite the declaration of results, the admission process for the Architecture cource is yet to begin.
COA has issued the last date for the admissions to Architecture course as November 15. And now the DTE has stated that it would issue notification for the admissions after declaration of MHT CET results.
According to COA sources, even if DTE issues notification now, it would take one-and-a half months to complete the admission process. So, the new session would begin next year completely disturbing the academic calender.
It is worth mentioning here, that the process of admissions to Architecture in many states have already started and thus student may have decided to take admissions in those states. If the delay continues here than it may damange the backbone of Arcticture colleges in the state also causing difficuties for the students in future.
Same is the case with engineering admissions. It is beyond understanding of students, parents and colleges as to why DTE is delaying the declaration of MHT CET results.
In nutshell the admission process of almost all the professional courses are facing endless problems and nobody knows their solutions or they are not interested to find one.
