After the slow progress in the construction of 6.15 km stretch of Outer Ring road in Gawsi, Manapur, Gaundkhairi, Fetri to Pawangaon, the contract company MEPDL was given cure period notice. Due to this, the company gave sub-contract for package 2 to expedite the work. However, the company is yet to touch the required pace. Earlier, and it was being considered to give termination notice to contract company by November 15.
But due to the Diwali holiday, no decision has been taken in this regard. The point to be mentioned here that the construction of the Outer Ring Road was set to be completed in July 2019, but after the year extension, it was only 50 percent completed in July 2020.As per the source, the progress in the work of the said contract company is less than 1 percent per month. In the package-I of the project, the contract company is again facing shortage of workers. Earlier, the company could not arrange labourers even during the unlock after lockdown.
