There’s a good news for the Nagpurians that the construction of India’s first Samvidhan Preamble Park is on the verge of completion. As per sources, the official inauguration of the park will most probably take place on April 14, 2021, at the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
The park is being developed on the premises of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Law, run by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU).
The expenditure involved in the project is Rs 10 crore. The present gate of the college is being re-constructed with two pillars decorated heavily on each side. The board will have the name of the college as well as Samvidhan Park along with the photo of Dr Ambedkar. A statue of 7.5 feet will be erected at the centre of the Park. The Park will be developed in such a way that it will have a lawn and sitting arrangement for the common public.
The park will also have several digital boards on which the seven values including Justice, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, etc will be written.
Last year on November 26, on Samvidhan Diwas, the Bhoomipujan was performed. Nagpurians are very excited and proud of the fact that Nagpur which has Samvidhan Chowk, Deeksha Bhoomi, and obviously the place where Dr. Ambedkar has taken his deeksha will have another memorable mark for the country that it will get India’s first Samvidhan Park.
