The second capital of the state on December 3, reported 536 fresh positive cases in the day the tally has now surged to 113269. The continues spike in the cases and fall in recovery rate from last few weeks has created havoc in the city. It indicates second wave of the infection while raising serious questions on the carelessness of the citizens and leniency by the civic authorities.
After 307 persons became free of the infection in the day taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 104137 (including 56294 home isolation recoveries). With less recoveries the recovery rate is also dropping down, today it stands at 91.94%.
Meanwhile, 15 persons succumbed to the infection in the day, taking the total count of fatality to 3707. From the total deaths 2550 deaths from the city and 640 from rural and rest 517 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases of the city now stands at positive 5425 cases including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Today’s 536 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
AIIMS (17), GMC (77), IGGMC (74), MAFSU (13), NEERI (31), RTMNU (76), Private Lab (209), and Antigen (39).
Today’s 15 fatality cases belonged to:
Rural (5), City (7) and out of city (3).
