After the Central government’s notification of CCIM permitting Ayurved students to perform allopathic surgery, the Indian Medical Association has decided to stage demonstrations on today to protest against the move. The association has warned that if government neglects its demand, then it will go on stike.
The president of IMA(Nagpur) Dr.Archana Kothari said that Ayurved students have been given to perform 58 allopathic surgeries in post graduate studies.But to become a surgeon in allopathy,detailed study of various subjects has to be done. The IMA is against it, the demonstrations will be staged from 12 noon to 2 pm on Tuesday. The students of government and private medical colleges will participate in demonstrations.
