With chilling winters, city witnessed drop in COVID-19 daily cases. On December 21, the second capital of the state registered less fresh cases than recoveries. Today the city detected 235 fresh positive cases the tally has now surged to 120287.
With 324 persons getting cured of the infection in the day the cumulative number of recovered cases reached 110397Â (including 60370 home isolation recoveries). With less recoveries the recovery rate is also dropping down, today it stands at 91.78%.
Meanwhile, 8 persons succumbed to the infection in the day, taking the total count of fatality to 3857. From the total deaths 2614 deaths from the city and 671 from rural and rest 572 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases of the city now stands at positive 3518 cases including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Today’s 235 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
