The citizens and environment activists of Organge city will be taking a masive step to save the Ajni Vann which has rich biodivercity. Around hundreds of youth will be protesting against the Inter-Modal Station (IMS) by staging ‘Chipko Movement’ to show their support today at 7 am.
Along with this, a postcard movement will also be held on Sunday at 11 am at Railway Mens School. The Postcards will be addressed to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari urging to me save flora and fauna on Ajni premisis and Railway Mens School.
Thousand of trees will be felled at Ajni Railway Colony by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for the upcoming Inter-Modal Station(IMS) at Ajni.
Activists are protesting against the tree felling and conducting various awareness programme and agitations to attract the attention of the Government.
As per the authority,1,940 trees will be felled for the project, while activists are claiming that more than 7,000 trees will be cut for IMS.
