Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will be taking a shutdown at 33 KV Kanhan pump￾ing station of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) that would affect supply of drinking water to almost half of the city.
The power outage on 33 KV NMC and 11 KV Kamptee Colliery feeder line is from 10 am to 2 pm on January 15 and hence, Kanhan Water Treatment Plant will remain closed during that duration. This 4-hours power shutdown would affect water supply in almost 28 elevated service reservoir (ESR) at four zones i.e.
Satranjipura, Lakadganj, Aasinagar and Nehru Nagar.
Since these ESR’s will remain empty, water supply through tankers will also be not possible during and after shutdown in the affected areas.
ESR (Overhead Water Tanks) to remain affected on Jan 15 evening are: Ashinagar Zone: Bezonbagh, Binaki -Existing , Binaki-1&2 , Indora-1&2, Gamdoor DT, Akashwani DT and Jaswant Talkies DT ESR com￾mand areas.
Satranjipura Zone: Bastarwadi-1, 2A & 2B, Shanti Nagar, Wanjari (Vinoba Bhave Nagar), Itabhatti Square DT.
Nehru Nagar Zone: Nandanvan(Old),NandanvanI,
II, Sakkardara, I, II, III, Tajbagh ESR & Kharbi ESR.
LakadganjZone:Bhandewadi, Deshpande Layout
(Bharatwada), Lakadganj, Minimata Nagar, SubhanNagar, Kalamna and PardiI& Pardi II.
