Upcoming Nagpur tennis player Sejal Bhutada stamped her authority in style by reigning supreme in the AITA Champion Series Tennis Under-14 tournament for boys and girls at Raipur on Wednesday.The three-day tournament was organized by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) from January 25 to 27 at the Union Club in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The 12-year-old city girl Sejal outclassed Prisha Das of Orissa 6-3, 6-4 in the final. Sejal, a Standard VII student of Bharat Vidyalaya, Ram Nagar, dominated the first set to put her rival under pressure.Sejal then continued her dazzling form in the second set too to seal the fate of her opponent.Earlier in the semifinal on Tuesday, Sejal thumped Aradhya Verma of Orissa 9-4. In the quarterfinal, Sejal got the better of local girl Suhani without any discomfort.One of the most talented tennis players of the region, Sejal did no harm to her growing reputation with yet another national-level title in Raipur.
