Veteran Ambedkarite activist Baban Bondhate passed away on February 4 due to brief illness disease. His last rites were performed at Mokshadham Ghat Road at 4 pm. He is survived by his wife Shobha, three children, a granddaughter-in-law and a large family.
Babanrao Bondhate was an active member of the Ambedkar movement and was active in Dalit Panther, Dalit Mukti Sena, Piripa, Republican Movement and other organizations. He was involved in many movements including the renaming movement.
