In an initiative to make roads and footpath encroachment free, the Nagpur Municipal Commissioner has been taking strict action against the encroachers in the city. As per information, 400 encroachments were cleared, 6 truck material were seized.
On February 4, anti-encroachment drive was conducted at Lakxmi Nagar zone-1, 52 and 1 truck material were seized. In Dharampeth zone-2, tea stalls in front of NMC office were cleared and fine of Rs 7000 was collected. — encroachment were cleared, – truck material seized and Rs —– fine was collected.
Hanuman Nagar zone 3, 56 encroachment cleared, 1 truck material seized. Dhantoli zone -4, 72 encroachments were cleared, 1 truck material were seized. Nehru Nagar zone-5, 52 encroachments were cleared, 1 truck material were seized.
Gandhibagh Bhavan zone-6, 46 encroachments were cleared, 5 hand carts seized and fine of Rs 1,000 was collected, Satranjipura zone 7,illegal hoardings were removed and area was cleared. Lakadganj zone-8, 4 sheds were demolished, 54 encroachments were cleared and fine of Rs 5500 was collected.
Aashi Nagar zone-9, footpath and area was cleared, Mangalwari zone 10, 62 encroachment were cleared, 1 truck material was seized while Rs 2400 was collected.
