To ensure a safe, reliable and uninterrupted power supply, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will undertake planned maintenance and infrastructure upgradation works on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, resulting in a temporary power shutdown in several parts of Nagpur city and Butibori.
The scheduled works include installation of AB switches, re-jumpering of power lines, tree trimming, removal of old electrical equipment, shifting of power lines for road widening, Ring Main Unit (RMU) charging, and other preventive maintenance activities. MSEDCL said these works are essential to strengthen the electricity distribution network and minimize disruptions during the monsoon season.
Areas affected – Mahal Division
9:00 am to 12:00 noon: Nandanvan Main Road, Mangalmurti Chowk, Kirti Sweets Road, Nandanvan, Women’s College area, Bhande Plot Chowk, Kabir Nagar, Mire Layout, Bapu Nagar and Sheetal Mata Mandir.
8:00 am to 12:00 noon: Tapasya Convent, Akash Nagar, Avdhoot Nagar, Vidnyan Nagar, Shesh Nagar and Mahakali Nagar.
7:00 am to 11:00 am: Vinkar Vasahat, Arya Car Showroom, South Point School, Infinity Clinic, Kalyaneshwar Nagar, Geeta Nagar, Vanrai Nagar, Parivartan Chowk and Diwan Layout.
8:30 am to 10:30 am: Gujarwadi, Chandak Layout and Cotton Market Chowk. 8:00 am to 11:00 am: Darshan Colony, Gangabai Ghat, Ganga Vihar and Venkatesh Nagar.
Areas affected – Congress Nagar Division
Due to routine maintenance and repair works, power supply will remain suspended in the following areas:
8:00 am to 10:00 am: Orange City and Kalimata area. 7:30 am to 11:00 am: Shivaji Park.
8:00 am to 11:00 am: Ekatmata Nagar, Dongre Layout, Abhijeet Society, Pooja Layout, Dadaji Nagar, Wankhede Layout, Rahi Colony, Orbital Empire, Jetvan Society, Deendayal Nagar, Millennium Gym area, Lokseva Nagar, Sujata Layout, Agne Building, Gandhi Builder, Priyadarshini Nagar, Bahubal Layout, Gudhde Layout, Eklavya Layout, Page Apartment, NIT Layout, Trimurti Nagar, Bhamti, Gedam Layout and HIG-82.
7:00 am to 11:00 am: Rai Imperial, Orchid, Pioneer, Green Lawn, Shahu Nagar, Narayan Vidyalaya, Rachana Apartment, HP Petrol Pump, Rajaram Nagar, Chikhli and Khapri Naka.
Butibori Industrial Area
Power supply to industrial consumers in A Zone, Phase-II will remain suspended from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
MSEDCL has assured consumers that electricity supply will be restored immediately after completion of the scheduled works. The utility appealed to residents and industrial consumers to cooperate during the maintenance period, stating that these preventive measures will improve the reliability of power supply and help prevent faults during the ongoing monsoon season.
