Joint Commissioner of Food and Drug Administration Chandrakant Pawar and his team raided establishments of five traders and seized adulterated oil and fake brand names of packed oil.
During the raid FDA team collected sample of 8 edible oils for test. Also, a total of Rs. 3,72,260 worth of adulterated material and edible oil was also seized.
The traders selling adulterated oil under fake brands include Gurudev Trading Co., Itwari; Ms Laxmi Oil Itwari; Sahil Kumar Tea Co. Itwari; Jagdish Trading Co, Itwari and Sainath Traders, Itwari. Pawar has assured stern action traders involved in any case of adulteration.
