The spike in daily COVID-19 cases in Nagpur district are a cause of concern leading to a dip in recovery cases. Despite the administrations administration’s continuous appeal to the citizens, people have started taking the virus lightly.
On Saturday Feburary 13, the district reported 486 fresh cases with the recovery rate dipped to 94.16 percent,which was the lowest in February so far.
As per the official bulletin, out of the total positive cases 68 were from rural areas and 416 from Nagpur city alone.With these fresh cases, the cumulative total in the district rose to 138300.
Further, 5 new deaths were recorded on Saturday, 2 each from Nagpur city and outside the district while 1 from rural area. With these new deaths added on Saturday, the cumulative death count rose to 4224.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 3849 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
With 266 recoveries in the day the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 130227 (including 69040 home isolation recoveries).
Today’s 486 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
