Certificate Program In Banking, Finance And Insurance (CPBFI) Batch Launch Program

A Batch Launch Program of Certificate Program in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) 197 was organized by the Department of Commerce in association with Bajaj Finserv Limited, Nagpur on 24th December, Dr. Ambedkar College has partnered with Bajaj Finserv Limited, one of the top financial services companies in India, to conduct a Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance, and Insurance (CPBFI). The programme is offered only for students and alumni of partner colleges of Bajaj Finserv. CPBFI equips fresh graduates with domain knowledge and skills to help them become a part of the BFSI industry.

Apart from this, the HR workshop that is conducted at the end of the course provides the students with a practical experience of the end-to-end recruitment process from selection of job advertisement to job interview. Due to the current pandemic situation, an online batch was formed of 47 students who will undergo

14 days of training, 4 hours a day making it a 56 hrs curriculum-based training including 20 Hrs of Insurance Management involving concepts of risk and uncertainty and need of insurance, product and process training
on life and non-life products, underwriting and claims process, distribution channels and structure of an insurance company, an overview of IRDA and the impact of technology on the insurance industry,18 Hrs of advanced Communication Skills involving essential listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, negotiation, sales-oriented communication, objection handling, customer service, and persuasion.

The final section is 18 Hrs involving banking operations, industry overview of banks, NBFCS and other financial institutions, product and process training, asset and liability products, KYC and underwriting, an overview of the role of RBI, various roles and functions in a bank, compliance & ethics and the impact of technology on the banking industry. The batch had already completed PCQ that is Pre CPBFI Quiz on 22nd December 2020 and PCI Pre CPBFI Interview on 23rd December, 2020.

The program started with a brief introduction and welcome by the coordinator of the program Mrs.Shefali S. Chouksey followed by a welcome address by Principal, Dr. Mrs. B.A. Mehere who informed the students of
the benefits of the platform provided to them through this alliance and guided the students to take up this opportunity for the betterment of their career.

The Head of the department, Dr. Varsha Panbude, also welcomed the CPBFI representatives and appreciated their valuable time and efforts to make this launch happen. She encouraged students to participate with full vigour and to hone their skills and knowledge to the best capacity.

Pallavi Gandhalikar, Deputy General Manager of CPBFI initiative at Bajaj also briefed the students about the program and how it will be conducted along with essential requirements. She has 14 years of experience working with corporate funding agencies. She also stated that she loves to work with young talent and helping them to achieve their career goals as she believes that every student has enormous potential

A short video was played about the organization and CPBFI program which showcased the experience of students who have already benefited from the program and have gained employment. It was an interactive session where students’ queries were answered.

Siddhant Agarwal, Lead trainer at BAJAJ Nagpur also present welcomed the students and introduced the trainers of the batch, Mr. Alekh Chourasia, Ms. Sheetal Gaikwad and Mr. Ajit Parwate.It was attended by 50 participants.
