The increasing number of corona cases in some parts of Nagpur city is a serious matter. Considering the future danger and avoiding its adverse effects, NMC has taken important steps. An important decision has been taken by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation to test the employees who come in contact with vegetable sellers, delivery boys, courier service employees, milk sellers, hawkers and many others throughout the day. All these employees will be taken to the Corporation’s mobile test center and all of them will be tested for Corona RTPCR.
An important meeting was held at the Corporation Headquarters on Saturday (13th) regarding the increasing number of corona infected people in the city. In this meeting, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. Jointly made this decision.
In a special meeting held in the Corona War Room, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari along with Deputy Mayor Manisha Dhavade, Standing Committee Chairperson Vijay (Pintu) Jhalke, Leader of the Opposition Sandeep Jadhav, Leader of the Opposition Tanaji Vanve, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. Health Committee Chairman Virendra Kukreja, Deputy Leader Varsha Thackeray, Senior Councilor Sunil Agarwal, Corporation Medical Health Officer Dr. Sanjay Chilkar, Dr. Narendra Bahirwar, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital Superintendent Dr. Ajay Kewalia, Medical Superintendent of Government Medical College Dr. Avinash Dr. Gawande, Assistant Medical Health Officer of the Corporation. Vijay Joshi, Nodal Officer Dr. Tikesh Bisen, Assistant Commissioner Prakash Varade, Ashok Patil, Vijay Humne, Ganesh Rathod, Harish Raut, Assistant Commissioner Sushma Mandge, Sadhna Patil and Zonal Medical Health Officers of all the zones were present. At the meeting, the mayor reviewed the status of places in the city where the number of patients is increasing.
