Despite the administration’s continuous appeal to the citizens, people have started taking the virus lightly. The spike in daily COVID-19 cases in the Nagpur district is a cause of concern leading to a dip in recovery cases.
On Sunday, February 14, the district reported 455 fresh cases with the recovery rate dipped to 94.03 percent, which was the lowest on the third consecutive day in February.
As per the official reports, out of the total positive cases, 28 were from rural areas and 425 from Nagpur city alone. With these fresh cases, the cumulative total in the district rose to 138755.
Further, 6 new deaths were recorded on Saturday, 3 from Nagpur city and 2outside the district while 1 from the rural area. With these new deaths added on Saturday, the cumulative death count rose to 4230.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stand at 4047 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
With 251 recoveries in the day, the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 130478 (including 69284 home isolation recoveries).
Today’s 455 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
