The surge in COVId-19 cases continues to put administration in stress. Despite constant appeal from the authorities, citizens have started taking the virus lightly and the basic COVID guidlines.
On Sunday Feburary 16, the district reported 535 fresh cases with the recovery rate to 94.81 percent.
As per the official report, out of the total positive cases 51 were from rural areas and
482 from Nagpur city alone. With these fresh cases, the cumulative total in the district rose to 139788.
Further, 6 new deaths were recorded on
Tuesday, 2 from each Nagpur city, outside the district and from rural area.
With these new deaths added on Saturday, the cumulative death count rose to
4242.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 4405 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
With 382 recoveries in the day the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 131141 (including 70135 home isolation recoveries).
Today’s 435 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
