The Maha Metro passenger services have started continuously since October 16, taking care of safety standards and taking special care of cleanliness. In view of Covid, several important measures are planned to ensure safe travel for children and the elderly, along with passengers and metro employees. Along with the suggestions and rules announced by the Government regarding the rescue of Covid, special attention is being given to cleanliness in metro stations and metro trains for the health of the passengers. Â It is due to this background that the Managing Director of Maha Metro is monitoring the entire system.
Metro passenger services were to be started in a phased manner as per the unlock rules announced by the Government. This is the reason that passenger services were initially introduced during the Reach-3 under the Aqua route and later during the Orange line Reach-1. Passenger services between Sitabuldi Interchange and Lokmanya Nagar metro station are running every 15 minutes between 6:30 am and 8 pm. Passenger services are also running from 8 am to 8 pm between Sitabuldi Interchange and Khapri Metro Station under Reach-1 on Orange Corridor.
Under the Special Measures Scheme made under it, it has been made mandatory for passengers to wear masks. No passengers wearing masks are allowed to enter the metro station. The temperature of every passenger coming to the station is checked, if there is any difference in the temperature of every passenger coming to the station, the health department is informed about the station controller and the patient is sent there. Sanitizer has been given to every passenger for entering the station. And from the entrance of the station, instructions are also being given to follow social distance.Â
