Along with the vaccination of health service workers and frontline workers, the third phase of vaccination for senior citizens started from Monday as per the guidelines of the Central and State Governments. On this occasion, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari inaugurated Government Medical College and Hospital (Medical) and Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. They inspected the corona vaccination centers being provided to senior citizens at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (Mayo) as well as Pachpavli Maternity Hospital. The citizen vaccination campaign is getting great response.
 Along with Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari at Government Medical College and Hospital, Medical Superintendent of Government Medical College and Hospital Dr. Avinash Gawande, Head of PSM Department Dr. Uday Narlawar, Medical Health Officer Dr. Sanjay Chilkar, Assistant Medical Health Officer Narendra Bahirwar was also present. Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B, along with Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi, Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital Superintendent Dr. Ajay Kewalia and Zonal Medical Health Officer at Pachpavli Maternity Hospital. Dipankar Bhivagade was also present.
Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari inspected the waiting rooms, vaccination houses and observation houses at both the Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals and interacted with the vaccination beneficiaries. All arrangements are in place at this place and the beneficiary is given all the information about vaccination before vaccination. It was also found that the beneficiary of the observation house did not have any problem with vaccination. Therefore, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari expressed satisfaction over the good vaccination system in government medical colleges and hospitals.
Also, the citizens of the city who are above 60 years of age and above 45 years of age who have serious illnesses should come forward to get corona vaccine, appealed Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. Assistant Medical Health Officer of the Corporation at Government Medical College and Hospital Dr. Narendra Bahirwar (51), Kapil Pawar (72), Namdev Meshram (65), Kakaji Gaikwad (53), Sarita Tate (70), Sushil Jaiswal (75) and other senior and critically ill people were vaccinated.
